1. The Voting members of this fund are as follows:  a. School board development sub-committee members (minimum of four), not employed at the School or Parish.  b. Pastor and/or Assistant Pastors of the Parish.  c. School Principal and/or Assistant Principal.
2. This fund is placed in an account that continues to roll over year to year. It is not permitted to go into the general operating budget of the school or parish. The fund will have roll over money for funding of long term requests by teachers/staff. Non-designated funds will carry a balance of at least ten percent of the donations received during a calendar year and may be used for requests made in the following calendar year.
3. The Principal and/or Assistant Principal will maintain a list of items that he/she determines to be the greatest needs of the school. Donors may elect to donate directly to an item on this list.
4 Donations received without specific designation will be distributed upon a majority vote of the voting members as stated in number one (1) above. Voting members will be notified a minimum of one (1) week prior to a vote.  Vote may be made by proxy at least 24 hours prior to the actual vote with prior approval of the School Board president. In the event of a tie or impasse, the acting School Board President will vote to reach a fair resolution.
5. Teachers/Staff of St. Aloysius School must submit requests for purchases from the fund by April 1st and November 1st each year for their request to be considered. Requests must be submitted on the Light of Mine Fund Request Form and submitted to the School Board development sub-committee.
6. Requests will be granted or declined within three weeks of submission.
7. The requested items will be purchased following current school policies on the closest date following the approval: February 1st and June 1st.
8. Donor identities will remain confidential unless specifically requested otherwise by the donor in writing. Fund totals and items purchased will be public information and be used to help promote awareness of the fund.
9. A thank you letter with tax receipt will be mailed to the donor within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the donation. Additionally, for corporate gift matching donations, a follow-up thank you will be sent within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the corporate matching gift. This letter will be generated by the School Principal or Assistant Principal.
10. Changes to the Light of Mine Fund Bylaws may be submitted in writing to the St. Aloysius School Board.  Acceptance of such changes requires a majority vote of the School Board after adequate notification and discussion.
